The Large Room

The Large (Ball) Room

The main decoration of this room is the magnificent stuccowork and partial figures of Atlas supporting balconies under which Cupids carry a cartouche, adorned with the baronial crown.

The interior decoration was created by the architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, and then the work was continued by other masters. The parquet floor was made in the middle of the 19th century from various exotic sorts of wood such as boxwood, sandal, lemon and plane.
