The Small Study

The Small Study of Countess Sofia Stroganova

The room has mainly retained the original interior design of Andrei Voronikhin (1804), although Ivan Kolodin and Pyotr Sadovnikov introduced some alterations. The centerpiece of the interior decoration is Ivan the Terrible Giving Drink to a Soldier relief (1811) by Alexei Voronikhin, nephew of the architect Andrei Voronikhin.
